Link your Jellyseerr account

Link your Jellyseerr account Connect Jellyseerr to Phyn so the app can recognize your Jellyseerr account for supported integration features. What this unlocks: After Jellyseerr is linked, Phyn can use your Jellyseerr account where supported. Your server and Jellyseerr permissions still decide which integration features are available. Settings section showing Jellyseerr under External Services & Integrations Before you start You need: - A working Jellyseerr server that you can reach from the device running Phyn. - A Jellyseerr user account. - The Jellyseerr server address, such as https://requests.example.com. - Your Jellyseerr username and password, or the Jellyfin login details accepted by your Jellyseerr server. If your Jellyseerr server is only available on your home network, connect your device to that network before linking the account. Tip: Use the Jellyseerr address that opens in a browser on the same device. If you use a reverse proxy, that is usually the public https:// address for Jellyseerr, not the Jellyfin server address. Link Jellyseerr in Phyn 1. Open Phyn. 2. Open the account menu. 3. Select Settings. 4. Scroll to External Services & Integrations. 5. Select Jellyseerr. 6. Choose the Login type your Jellyseerr server expects. The default option shown in Phyn is Jellyfin. 7. Enter your Jellyseerr Server Address. 8. Enter your Username. 9. Enter your Email only if your Jellyseerr setup requires email-based login. 10. Enter your Password. 11. Select Connect. Login type hint: Choose Jellyfin if your Jellyseerr server signs users in through Jellyfin. Choose a local Jellyseerr login only if your server admin created a separate Jellyseerr account for you. Jellyseerr linking form with server and account values redacted Expected result After Phyn connects successfully, Jellyseerr should no longer show as Not linked in External Services & Integrations. You can then use Jellyseerr-backed areas in Phyn where they are available for your server and account. If Phyn cannot connect If this happens, check the server address first. The address should include http:// or https://, and it should point to the Jellyseerr web app, not your Jellyfin server unless both services are intentionally served from the same host. Do not share secrets: If you contact support about Jellyseerr linking, include the error message and login type, but do not send your password, API keys, invite links, or private server URLs unless support specifically asks for a redacted example. If the server address is correct, try opening the same address in a browser on the same device. If the browser cannot reach Jellyseerr, Phyn will not be able to reach it either. If your login details are rejected, confirm whether your Jellyseerr server uses Jellyfin authentication, local Jellyseerr users, or another login method. Then return to the Jellyseerr linking screen and choose the matching Login type. If you are outside your home network, confirm that Jellyseerr is exposed through your reverse proxy, VPN, or remote access setup. A local-only address such as a private IP or .local hostname may not work away from home. Set up Jellyfin in-app notifications

Set up Jellyfin in-app notifications Use this guide to connect Jellyfin server events to Phyn. Phyn creates a notification URL for your device or account, copies that URL to your clipboard, and your Jellyfin webhook setup sends supported events to that URL. Server admin task: The Phyn app gives you the webhook URL, but the webhook destination must be configured on the Jellyfin server. If you do not manage the server, send the copied URL to your server administrator. Before you start You need: - Phyn installed and signed in on the device that should receive notifications. - Notification permission enabled for Phyn on that device. - Phyn Premium, which is required to generate notification URLs in the current app. - Admin access to Jellyfin Web, or help from someone who has it. - A Jellyfin webhook plugin or webhook-capable notification setup on your server. Phyn expects the default Jellyfin webhook payload. Custom payload templates may not be understood by the app. Copy a notification URL from Phyn 1. Open Phyn. 2. Open the account menu. 3. Select Settings. 4. Find Jellyfin Notifications. 5. Select Notify all devices or Notify this device. 6. Read the prompt and select Copy URL. 7. If your device asks for notification permission, allow notifications for Phyn. 8. Paste the copied URL somewhere safe, or send it to the person who manages your Jellyfin server. Phyn does not show the full notification URL in the app. After you select Copy URL, the URL is copied to your clipboard. Choose Notify all devices when the same server events should notify your signed-in Phyn devices. Choose Notify this device when only the current device should receive those notifications. Privacy note: Treat the notification URL like a private webhook address. Do not post it publicly or share it with people who do not manage your server. Add the URL to Jellyfin These steps use the common Jellyfin webhook flow. Exact labels can differ slightly by plugin version. 1. Open Jellyfin Web as an administrator. 2. Go to Dashboard. 3. Open Plugins and confirm a webhook plugin is installed. 4. Open the webhook plugin settings. 5. Add a new webhook destination. 6. Give it a clear name, such as Phyn. 7. Paste the notification URL copied from Phyn into the webhook URL field. 8. Select the event types you want Phyn to receive. 9. If the plugin offers a payload or template option, use the default payload. 10. Save the webhook destination. 11. Send a test notification if your plugin provides a test button. Payload warning: Avoid custom webhook templates for Phyn notifications. The app is built around the default Jellyfin webhook payload, so heavily customized payloads may arrive but not display correctly. Expected result After the webhook is saved, supported Jellyfin events sent to the Phyn notification URL can appear as in-app or push notifications on the selected device or devices. If you chose Notify this device, only that device should receive the notification. If you chose Notify all devices, your signed-in Phyn devices can receive the same server notification. If notifications do not arrive If this happens, check these first: - Phyn has notification permission in your device settings. - The notification URL was copied completely and pasted into the webhook URL field. - The Jellyfin server can reach the internet address used by the Phyn notification URL. - The webhook plugin is enabled and saved. - The selected Jellyfin event type actually occurred after the webhook was configured. - The webhook payload is still the default payload. If the URL was copied a long time ago or you changed devices, return to Phyn and copy the notification URL again. In-app notifications

In-app notifications Phyn can receive push notifications from your Jellyfin server, so you can be alerted when supported server events happen without opening the app first. Use this feature when you want Phyn to notify your phone, tablet, or desktop after your server sends an event through a webhook notification URL. What this feature does: Phyn gives you a notification URL. You add that URL to a supported Jellyfin webhook setup, and Phyn receives notifications when your server sends events to it. What you can do With in-app notifications, you can: - Generate a notification URL for every device signed in with your Phyn account. - Generate a notification URL for only the current device. - Copy the URL from Phyn and add it to your Jellyfin webhook configuration. - Receive supported server notifications through Phyn after the webhook is configured. Before you start You need a Jellyfin server, a supported webhook setup on that server, notification permission on your device, and access to Phyn's notification URL flow. Generating notification URLs currently requires Phyn Premium. If Phyn opens the purchase screen when you try to copy a notification URL, upgrade or restore purchases before continuing. Where to find it Open Phyn, go to Settings, then look for In-app notifications under Jellyfin Notifications. Choose Notify all devices if you want one URL that can notify your devices signed in with Phyn. Choose Notify this device if you want notifications only on the device you are using now. Device choice: Use Notify this device when you want a quieter setup, such as notifications only on your phone. Use Notify all devices when every signed-in Phyn device should receive the same server events. Related articles - Set up Jellyfin in-app notifications - Troubleshoot in-app notifications
