Delete downloaded movies and shows
Use this article when you want to remove an offline copy from the device where it was downloaded.
Deleting a download in Phyn removes the local file from this device. It does not delete the movie, episode, show, album, or book from your Jellyfin server.
Delete a download
- Open Phyn.
- Open
Downloads. - Find the downloaded movie, show, episode, album, or other item.
- Open the item menu.
- Select
Delete download. - Confirm the prompt.
Phyn removes the downloaded file from local storage. You can download it again later if it is still available on your Jellyfin server.
Storage note: If you need to free space, start with large videos or full seasons. They usually use more storage than music or books.
If the item still appears
If this happens, reopen Downloads and let Phyn refresh. If the item still appears but will not play, use the failed-download troubleshooting article.
